Campbell Law School

Jessica Scott, Class of 2010

Director of Healthcare ADR Innovations

Carolina Dispute Settlement Services

Despite practicing family medicine for more than 10 years, Jessica Scott had a burning desire to have a broader impact on the health care field. That calling led her to study at Campbell Law School.

Campbell Law provided an opportunity for Scott to see her personal and professional experiences from a new perspective. She was also equipped with a better understanding of policy, practice, and society with each class that she took.

Scott was very active at Campbell Law, enjoying rewarding experiences through hard work with trial teams, health law class, and a course in alternative dispute resolution.

“I received tremendous individualized encouragement and support from professors, each of whom possessed much skill and expertise,” said Scott. “The Campbell Law faculty helped me gain knowledge and experience that has led me to find and follow my passion.”

Scott now serves as the director of healthcare ADR innovations at Carolina Dispute Settlement Services, where she oversees the IACT program she originated and also regularly mediates cases involving health care, employment, and family law.

“I truly believe that the innovative work I am doing now is a result of the empowering legal education I received from my Campbell family.”
