Environmental Law Association

The Campbell Environmental Law Association (CELA) aims to create and sustain a leadership role in advancing environmental policy and law by drawing attention to all aspects of environmental law and related fields. To that end, the organization promotes both education and service components. To educate its members, CELA sponsors lectures and debates by practitioners and policymakers designed to better inform Campbell Law and the Raleigh community about relevant environmental issues. The organization chooses speakers with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary, multifaceted character of environmental law and its relevance to a wide range of legal and policy issues. Additionally, CELA undertake service as an integral part of its purpose and seek to each year involve its members in environmental service projects such as Raleigh’s “adopt-a-stream” program.
