Campbell Law School

Reciprocity Policy

Campbell Law School works with other ABA accredited law schools in granting reciprocity privileges to third-year students and graduates seeking employment outside of North Carolina.

Reciprocity privileges are initiated upon receipt of a letter or email requesting reciprocity from the Career Center accompanied by a copy of the reciprocity policy in effect at the requesting law school and the mailing address or e-mail address of the student or graduate.

Third-year students and graduates who are granted reciprocity privileges will receive access to 3L and Alumni job opportunities in Symplicity for a period of three months. Reference materials located in the Career Center are also available upon advance notice of visit to the law school.  Participation in on-campus interviews (OCI) and resume referrals are not extended to third-year students or graduates receiving reciprocity.

When responding to a listing obtained through reciprocity from another institution, a third-year student or graduate should state in the cover letter to the employer that the application is made pursuant to a reciprocity agreement between Campbell Law School and the requestor’s law school.

Due to the demands of the fall semester at law schools in general, reciprocity is not be granted from August 1 to December 15.  Requests for privileges in addition to those stated above will be granted at the discretion of the Director of the Career & Professional Development Center. The Director has the discretion to review each request independently and make a decision to grant or deny services of the office based on the demands of our students and/or alumni, and demands of the faculty, staff, and Board of Trustees of Campbell University.
