In the early 1970s, Norman Adrian Wiggins envisioned a law school guided by transcendent values with:
- Limited enrollment
- Outstanding legal educators enthusiastic about training law students to serve others
- Frequent interaction between students and faculty
- A focus on professional responsibility
In 1976, the vision became a reality, and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law was founded. The School of Law continues to prepare its graduates to walk off stage on graduation day, ready to step into law offices and courtrooms the next and successfully serve their communities with legal skill, ethical conviction, and intellectual leadership.
Today, the School of Law provides students with:
- A highly demanding curriculum that requires discipline and dedication
- Comprehensive practical skills training
- Intensely personal community of faculty and students
- A Christian perspective in a community where every student is treated with respect, and the discussion of diverse ideas is encouraged
The School of Law develops lawyers who possess moral conviction, social compassion, and professional competence, and who view the law as a calling to serve others and create a more just society.
